Readers are entitled to know how what they are reading was made. This page sets that out plainly rather than burying it.

How articles are produced

Articles on this site are generated using artificial intelligence. Every one carries the byline Generated by AI and a notice at the end stating that the article was generated by AI. There is no hidden human byline and no pen name.

Articles are produced using official government sources and checked against those sources for scope, factual consistency and current rules. That checking is part of the same automated process that produces the articles; it is not an independent human review, and no individual is credited as the fact-checker of record.

We aim to keep the material general and explanatory rather than presenting it as personalized legal, medical, financial or employment advice. Where an article states a rule, a threshold or a legal protection, we link to the government source so you can confirm it and read the detail we summarized. What we stand behind is the sourcing, the corrections policy below, and keeping the material current.

What that means for you as a reader

  • Confirm anything time-sensitive. Thresholds, deadlines, benefit amounts and eligibility rules change, and most vary by state.
  • Check with the body that has jurisdiction. The agency administering a program is the authority on how it applies to you.
  • Get advice for decisions. Nothing here is legal, medical, tax or financial advice, and we are not a substitute for a professional who knows your situation.

What we will not publish

  • Product recommendations. We do not name a best insurer, lender, plan or service, and we do not rank providers.
  • Affiliate placements dressed as editorial. Where a link is commercial, it will be obvious.
  • Urgency or alarm. These subjects reach people at stressful moments. We write in the register of an explainer.
  • Personalized guidance. We cannot assess an individual situation and will not pretend otherwise, including by email.

Sources

Where an article describes a rule, a threshold or a legal protection, we work from official government sources: the Department of Labor, the EEOC, HUD, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the Social Security Administration, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Federal Trade Commission, and state agencies and court directories where matters are governed at state level. We link to those sources where a reader is likely to want to confirm something or read further.

Corrections

If you find an error, tell us and we will fix it. That includes figures that have gone out of date as well as things that were wrong when published. Send the article link and the specific passage to arb@ptl.com. We do not treat a correction request as something to argue with.

Scope

We cover four areas: jobs and careers, home and property, health and senior care, and legal and consumer matters, all for a United States audience. We stay inside that scope deliberately.
